I am in early stages for a simple standup position. I am wanting a blue lit background. My question is ,would you buy blue translucent plexi or clear and have blue translucent vinyl applied with logo. Also wondering how to make sure light is evenly spread behind. What fixtures do you guys use? LED? Any help would be great.

    Hi BR,
I personally like the idea of clear plexi with blue vinyl applied to the back with a possible inverted logo as a clear space in the blue. To add depth, I would apply a textured, slightly diffuse PVC overlaminate to the front. This slight blur would create depth in the shot and help diffuse lighting.

The easiest ways to spread light evenly is any kind of diffusion, like stage lighting gels, or to bounce the light off of a white wall behind the set, or both.

We do use LED lighting and plan to add it as a product to this site soon. If you would like to order some before the product is listed online, please contact us.
